The Blues House Party – (Sept) Deep Dish Dive!

We’re diving in deep and serving up some Chicago style fun! Pull up your metaphorical chair with us and enjoy a yummy, nourishing evening of Blues and connection.

This month’s lesson will introduce us to the incredibly useful and tasty idiom of the Chicago Triple Shuffle. This is a great fit for those 12-bar shuffle rhythms that are common in mid-century and modern Blues.

We’ll also be welcoming back DJ Chris Niedt to kick off the night (which includes an actual DJ vs DJ cover battle after break)!

8-8:45pm Beginner-and-Beyond Blues dance lesson (with Janine & Adam)
8:45-12pm Blues social dance! (with a wee bit of fusion thrown in the second half)

No partner or experience needed, all welcome, safer space.
!Please bring clean, non-marking, indoor shoes!

$10-20 suggested donation, Venmo welcome.
There will be a bounty of snacks, and always feel inspired to add to the spread!
Plenty of street parking (please be considerate of the neighbors).

Masks optional – if you suspect you’re contagious, please join us for the next dance.

Can’t wait to tear into this meal with you!
